WPSR: Organizing Call for a Socially Responsible COVID-19 Recovery

It’s never been more clear that inequality is a public health issue. As the COVID-19 crisis continues to disproportionately harm people of color, those with lower incomes, and front line workers, health professionals are calling for a Just Recovery.

Policymakers in Washington state and in Washington, D.C. are mapping out responses and stimulus plans for our economy to address the major damage done by this health crisis. We have an opportunity to promote a more equitable vision for the world we want to see -- one that works to shift resources away from polluting fossil fuels and nuclear weapons, and towards economic equity and social justice.

To build this future, we need to rally our health care community and encourage our elected officials to prioritize a Just Recovery. Please join WPSR physicians and health care professionals May 19, 2020 for an organizing call on how we can get there together.
