Climate Crisis: the Impacts of Militarism

  • on Zoom - registration required (map)

Abolishing nuclear weapons, addressing climate change, and reducing economic inequity are all essential to creating a healthier state, country, and world. We often approach these issues separately in our advocacy, but this event focuses on the way all three of these threats to health are intertwined. Featuring speakers from the Marshall Islands, where the impacts of nuclear weapons and climate crises has had disastrous consequences for health and well-being, we will discuss the existential threat posed by nuclear weapons to health and the climate. We will also explore the connections between military spending and economic inequity. Join WPSR on May 22nd to explore this critical intersection of climate, nuclear weapons, and economic inequity.
