Health in the Climate Crisis: Integrative Approaches for Individuals and Communities
Presented by our friends and colleagues at North Sound Accountable Community of Health
Adverse health impacts of the climate crisis have already emerged and will continue to increase in frequency and severity. These health impacts are compounded by poverty and marginalization, disproportionately affecting communities of color and low-income populations.
Integrative health approaches and advocacy provide a framework for addressing the complexity of these impacts on the well-being of individuals, communities, and the environment.
This conference will educate and inspire community members, community-based organizations, as well as current and future practitioners on how to address the health effects of the climate crisis.
Sections include individual talks and panels on:
– Youth advocacy and well-being
– BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community advocacy
– Nutrition, equity, and food sovereignty
– Mental health
