Join us for our April Economic Inequity & Health Meet-up to learn about and discuss the economic, inequality, and health impacts of COVID-19 in our state, and how we can take meaningful action through advocacy efforts, in response to the rapidly evolving policy response to the crisis.

Our special guest speakers this month are Hart Hodges and James McCafferty, Directors from the WWU Center for Economic and Business research.  They will present on a variety of topics relevant to COVID and inequity in WA state:

  • Overview of the structure of Washington’s economy

  • Corona Virus Impacts (by industry segment, income levels, community) 

  • Recovery impacts/ projections (focusing on urban/rural, and communities of color)

  • View on potential remedial policies (monetary and fiscal, state & national)

  • Qualitative and quantitative perspectives

  • Discussion
