Local Activism in Banning Destructive Weapons: From Landmines to Nuclear Weapons

This talk will discuss lessons from the campaigns to ban landmines, cluster munitions, and nuclear weapons regarding how citizen advocacy can contribute to advancing international disarmament agreements. It will focus in particular on the role of local advocacy in shaping norms and expectations around these weapons and advocacy directed at private industry.
