Virtual Nuclear Mixer

This month's event will merge with PopTech 2020's RESET speaker series, featuring three amazing humanitarians:

  • Beatrice Fihn - Executive Director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize-winning campaign coalition that works to prohibit and eliminate nuclear weapons.

  • Maurice Mitchell - National Director of the Working Families Party, a progressive political party known for cross-endorsing candidates through fusion voting.

  • Phillip Agnew - Organizer with the Dream Defenders and Black Men Build, as well as a Senior Advisor to Bernie Sanders campaign.

Drawing on their combined experience in movement-building and advocacy, and their shared commitment to addressing global inequities of all types, we look forward to an informative and inspiring interactive fireside conversation.

Please note, our programming for this month's mixer is a bit longer, as we will be including some fun creative programming after the fireside chat - a signature element of PopTech gatherings. We encourage you to join!

Thanks for joining PopTech's President Leetha Filderman, PopTech's host, Moran Cerf, and myself in what promises to be a dynamic conversation with three outstanding architects of change.

Our virtual nuclear mixer series is supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and aimed at increasing intersectional opportunities within the nuclear threats community. Our goal: to demonstrate the power of artistic and creative expression as pathways to understanding the complex global issues that underlie our work.

We encourage you to join the conversation! Nuclear Mixers are designed as interactive "happy hours", so do tune-in with a glass of wine, a beer, or the drink/snack of your choice.

Please RSVP to  (sara@nsquarecollaborative.org) by 8 PM (EST) on October 21. I will send you the Zoom link a few hours before the event.
